The Season begins...

Chris and I adore being in the mountains and scouting for beautiful wildlife. The snow is still deep in many parts and it's hard to get where the animals are. In fact, we got stuck yesterday. I pulled the kids out while Chris was trying to get out of the snow without falling off the cliff. He came about 10 inches from the edge. Although the kids and I had said a prayer, his slipping freaked me out. I was so upset about, but very relieved that Chris was safe and was able to get the Bronco II out of the snow and away from the ledge. But here are some great photos I took near Randolph, Utah.

Indian Paint Brush (at least that is what my Dad used to call this flower)

I know the photo isn't great of this dear, but we were very, very far away. About 400 yards, 4 football fields. I had to use the recording mode on my camera to zoom in this far and then snap a pic.

There were cows and calves all over the mountainside. Richard wanted to get out and catch them. We just drove past them instead. :)

It was a lot of fun, we saw many deer and antelope (Richard called them cantelope) and a moose. I look forward to seeing more throughout the season as the snow melts.
