Ogden Nature Center

It was warmer and sunnier today so I decided to take the kids out for a discovery adventure. We headed up to the Ogden Nature Center. I had never been there so didn't know what to expect. We walked about 3 miles through some gorgeous nature. We saw some frogs, fish, birds, a snake, and two beautiful deer. They were so red!
As you enter, there are creative birdhouses lining the path. Richard especially liked this one of a robot.
He got to wear a backpack and was in charge of the map for us. We pretended to be Dora and boots the whole time. Richard kept saying, "Where are we going...(clap, clap, clap)?" and "I'll check the map." I'd tell him, "pond, hole, treehouse." (You'd have to know Dora to get this)
I just thought this was an incredible view.
Richard was able to go up in a tree house. He thought that was pretty cool.
I wish I would have had the camera available to take a picture of the deer, but I missed them. There were so close to us. Richard waved and said, "Hi deer!"
After we saw the deer, Richard was so tired. He didn't feel that he could walk any further. I was proud of him, he carried the backpack for almost 2 miles and walked a bit further than that. So I couldn't blame him for being tired. I took Hannah out of the stroller, adjusted the seatbelt, put Richard in with Hannah on his lap, buckled them in, and off we went. They thought that was pretty funny. All-in-all, we had a good adventure.
