A day at the zoo...

I decided to take the kids to the zoo today. We had a lot of fun, but it was HOT!
Here are the kids on the sculpture of an elephant, as you can see, Hannah was not too fond of this elephant. (He made noises and sprayed water from his trunk.)
Then we went on the carousel. Richard chose the ladybug.
Hannah wanted the cheetah. She kept saying "Eeee! Eeee!" meaning whee!
Then Richard decided to change to the log with snake, that's just for you, Mom.
The bird show was really neat. There are some beautiful birds out there.

This owl was staring right at me, and I was the closest person to it. Pretty intense!
I loved the real tiger, but Richard preferred the bronzed ones. :)
And we ended the day on the train. A bison charged the train while we were on it, I thought it was going to run right into Richard, but we missed it. Whew!
It was a fun day, the kids were so tired by the time we left, though. Hannah had missed a nap or two and Richard walked around the whole 4-5 hours with me. And bonus!!! He told me he had to poop in the pot and did, all by himself. That is so great!!! :)
