Family hiking night

Well, it is that time of year again when the Taggarts spend all their spare time in the mountains. We took the kids up for a hike. They had so much fun. We saw 3 deer and Richard asked why they would run away. I told them that they were scared. So for about 10 minutes on the way down the mountain Hannah kept saying, "Mommy, mommy, mommy...mommy dear scared."

Chris took his bow and BB gun to practice with targets. Richard thought it was so cool to hold the bow while Chris got his arrows.

Hannah wasn't too excited to be on top of the rock, but we had fun hiking up to it.

Richard, on the other hand, was my little poser on the rock.

We ended the night with some icecream at DQ. It was a great evening together. Richard entertained us with his questions and stories and Hannah was just so cute.

Father's Day Dinner

We had Chris's family over for Father's Day. It was really great to see everyone.
Colby and Brielle
It hailed on us. I've never seen hail this big in Utah before. It was pretty cool. We all had fun watching it.

Richard and Brie hiding from the hail, even though they were running around in it.

Colby and Richard

Hannah was hiding from Grandpa and I got some great shots, even though she had a fithly face. She is still beautiful!

After dinner and 'smores, we had some fireworks. The kids thought they were so cool! It was a great night

Morgala Days Rodeo

Friday night we had a yummy dinner at a local restaurant, then drove to Morgan for the rodeo. The kids had a lot of fun.
They had tractors, trucks and cars at the entrance so we took advantage of the photo ops.

Richard and Hannah made friends with some of the kids sitting around us. They were so cute.

I guess some of the music and cheering were too loud for Hannah.

Hannah and baby Bo.

Yee haw!

Richard and Cowboy Cole. That is how this adorable kid introduced himself to Richard. They were running around for hours. So cute!

Ducks and playground

This afternoon I took the kids to the park to feed the ducks. We fed more seagulls than anything. I did have the geese come right up to me and they were eating right out of my hands. One or two ducks did that as well, but they were mostly scared away by the maniac seagulls.
The kids had fun at first, but the seagulls were getting a bit aggressive which scared Richard so Hannah thought she had to cry also. We went through 2 loaves of bread before heading back to the car to get the rest of the bag we had purchased ($1 at the Hostess outlet). We had a duck follow us toward our car. Richard said, "Come on to our car, duck. We are going to get more bread." So cute!

Richard really got so scared that I had him get on the rock. Not that that would keep the birds away from him, but he felt more secure.

The kids trying to drag the heavy bag of bread back to our feeding spot.
Then we went to the playground. This was the first time the kids had been on the merry-go-round. They were on for quite some time, but Richard got really dizzy.
