Cowboys and Cowgirls

The kids decided they wanted to play cowboys and cowgirls. They had the hats and jeans, but we went to second-hand stores to find the shirts and Richard's boots. Chris polished them up and they look brand new. We had a difficult time finding some for Hannah that were not a small fortune. But she is happy with the ones we found for her. They have been playing Jessie and Woody this weekend and are hafving a lot of fun.

The end of this video is hilarious. Richard is so funny.

Fountains

Friday was Richard's last day of school. He was let out at 11:30 so Hannah and I picked him up, told him to put on his swimsuit, and we headed downtown. There is a great park by the river that has a splash pad fountain area.

This cool Spiderman motorcycle was discovered on our way to the fountains. Richard thought it was the coolest thing. Ever!

It was a lot of fun. And a perfect activity on a terribly hot day.

Kindergarten Graduation

I am so proud of my Richard today. Last year for pre-k graduation he WOULD NOT even sit with his class, let alone get on stage or perform. Well, today he did it all. Last night he prayed that he would get on stage with the other kindergartners and make me proud. He did just that. I had tears in my eyes because I was so happy and proud of the growth he has had this year.

Richard kept blowing me kisses. I LOVED it!

Ms. Gwin has been Richard's teacher. She has taught kindergarten at Forest Park for 17 years. Last year she was awarded the teacher of the year. We really appreciate Ms. Gwin and all she has done to help Richard this year!

This is Mrs. Ketcher, the principle of Forest Park. She is fantastic!

Memorial Day Potluck

Our ward boundaries were just shifted and we had a last minute ward/family activity on Memorial Day. It was so hot out that we ate and played inside. The food was great and the kids had so much fun.

Playing in the woods

We went with some friends of ours to the woods for shooting practice. The kids mostly played in the dirt and rocks. We had some great company and a lot of fun.
