Our weekend...

I took the kids to the county fair Friday. They love animals and I figured that they would enjoy the petting zoo. As you can see, Hannah was a bit tentative at first. But then she thought it was a lot of fun.
Hannah got trapped between two goats and got scared. I pulled her out and she was find. Richard rand all over looking at each animal. The workers even had to tell him not to climb the fence. He was just trying to get a better look at the llama inside. :)

I had to get a picture of this donkey. She was soooooo loud. It scared all the kids, but Hannah started crying. While I held her she would pet it, but otherwise it was too close for her comfort. Richard didn't think this donkey sounded much like Donkey from "Shrek", but he liked it anyway.
Richard loves these little things. He ran right up to it and put his face through. When I got the picture on my computer all he could see, besides his own face, were the ears! Too funny.

They had pony rides and I thought the kids would love it. They did! Look at Richard's face, pure joy and excitement. The little Shetland was what Hannah rode, but I couldn't get a picture, I walked by her and it was just too hard to hold her on and try to step back for a photo. Maybe next time. :)
Then we saw this older lady doing the pie eating contest. She did pretty good, but kept pausing to wipe her face. It was pretty funny.

I let Richard buy a camouflage, animated version of an M-16. He saw the Army guys and asked them if they shoot that type of gun. This nice guy came over and talked to Richard about his gun. He gave Richard an Army pencil and myself a pen.

Later that day miss Hannah ate a Red Vine. Her face didn't show up as well here as I had hoped, but Chris said she looked like the Joker from Batman.

Saturday morning the kids donned their construction goggles. Richard worked on the doorknob while Hannah looked on. They love to do everything together.

Hannah liked this yellow squash we got out of the garden. We had it for lunch and Hannah ate almost as much of it as Chris and I did. Richard tried one bite and cried. He is so funny.

I was rearranging the kids room and switching out Hannah's crib. Richard made a slide out of the mattress and the kids played on it for almost an hour. They had so much fun.
This morning I was hugging Richard and I told him, "You are so handsome." He hugged me and said, "You are so cute, you are so beautiful." What a sweet angel boy. I love my kids so much. They bring Chris and I so much joy. And I'm blessed that they are really great kids!
