Walker baby

Ella is getting bored with lying down so we pulled out the walker and she is loving it. it is so much easier to see everything going on now.

It is time for a another update on baby Ella.  Ella turned three months this week.  She is wanting to sit up more and more with support.  Sometimes while I am cleaning I will prop her on a pillow on my bed and she will left her head trying to sit up.  She loves to be around other people and seems to enjoy the noise of commotion.

I took these pictures of her sleeping to remind myself how sweet she can be because she's also a very fussy baby.  Yesterday was a very hard day with her but I still love her.

Honeybutter noodles

A few weeks ago we were running a little low on food and had to be creative with what we had.  Chef Chris pulled out some Ramen noodles.  After partially cooking them Chris sautéed the noodles in butter, honey, Chinese hot sauce, and soy sauce.  These noodles were incredible.  I've enjoyed them so much that I make them several times in a week.  Hannah laughs at me every time I cook them.  I sauté vegetables with the noodles and occasionally add some nuts.

My beautiful Hannah performed in the Will Dance for Food Competition this weekend. She was thrilled to be on stage performing again. I love to go to support her and see how happy she gets.

Hannah is on the front, left side of this group.

She did such a great job and we are so proud of her. Hannah's team won first place silver. This means that they were first in their division and age group but their score was in the silver range. She is thrilled that her team won! (So am I, heehee)

Our baby bear

Look at this cute little brown bear. We love this outfit on Ella. I love that her dark, dark eyes peek out of the brown hood. And she is so snuggley in this outfit. We still can't get enough of our Ella baby!

A Taggart Valentine

The morning started with the kids getting heart "attacked". They each made hearts that told why they love each other. I put a couple on myself. We also made some for Chris that we put on the bathroom mirror.

Breakfast consisted of pink pancakes, a couple of heart pancakes, heart eggs, and a fruit/berry smoothie.

Lunch was heart and "I love you" bologna sandwiches and cucumbers.

Hannah made her own.

For dinner we were going to have a mystery dinner but I just handed them the Valentine names of the food and let them "decode" the names. We had tomato soup (bleeding hearts), broccoli (green with envy), beans (pillow talk), heart shaped cheesy garlic bread (melt my heart), heart shaped potatoes with roasted carrots (Cupid's arrows), water (drowning in your love), and ice (cold shoulder). The spoon was time to cuddle and I couldn't come up with anything creative for the crackers so I put lovesick since these are the crackers I eat when I get sick.

Finally, I made some chocolate popcorn.

And this is my attempt at heart hair. It's not bad, but I know what I can do better next time.

It has been a day full of surprises and love. I very much enjoy Valentine's Day but more importantly I love my Valentine's...Chris, Richard, Hannah, and Ella.

Two months old...

My beautiful baby girl turned 2 months yesterday. To celebrate she had a doctor's visit and got her first shots. This was not a very fun day for her. But we found out how big she is getting. At 2 weeks Ella was 7.61 pounds (26th percentile) now she is 11.24 pounds (63rd percentile). At 2 weeks Ella was 20.08 inches (39th percentile) now she is 22.64 inches (62nd percentile). At 2 weeks Ella's head was 13.6 inches (15th percentile) now it is 14.4 inches (4th percentile). I'm not quite sure how her height and weight could jump so much but her head went down on the scale, but she is gorgeous just the same.

Ella has learned to adore her bath time. She is going to be a terrific swimmer just like her older brother and sister!

She is mostly sleeping through the night which is a blessing and relief for me and Chris.

Ella smiles and coos and has conversations with us.

Ella loves to snuggle and we love to snuggle with her.

Ella is very sweet.

Ella is drawn to lights and often smiles at them.

I love this picture so much. The bubbles are funny and her eyes are hilarious.

I love this beautiful smile and those incredible eye lashes!

We have been so blessed to have this little angel in our lives. We love you very much Miss Ella Mae!

Baptism and Blessing

We were blessed over the weekend to have Richard's baptism/confirmation and Ella's blessing on the same day. It was a beautiful day and I am so proud of my little Richard. I am thankful for Chris who is a worthy priesthood holder and that he was able to baptism and confirm Richard and bless baby Ella.

Here are my handsome boys all in white.

We are so thankful for those who were able to attend: Grandma and Grandpa Taggart, Aunt Donette, Brielle, Colby, Aunt Annette and Uncle Larry, Aunt Shauna and Uncle Jan (our Bishop), Grandma Kia, Uncle Paul and Aunt Julie, Brittany, Justin, Riley, Rocky, Bryce, Haley, Jake, Chloe, Bo, Uncle Mark, Annie, Brady, Annie's friend, Mrs. Taylor (Richard's 2nd grade teacher), Richard's current and previous primary teachers, members of the primary presidency, and Bro. We had a little get together following the services at our house. Many were not able to make it, but here is the rowdy crowd that joined us...

The scout and the hair

Richard is a new scout...again. He was lucky to be a Tiger cub while we lived in Montana and now that he is 8 he gets to be a Wolf cub. We are really excited to have him back in the scouting program.

Hannah rarely allows me to do her hair, but lately she has been asking me a lot more. One day we did a bunch of fun braids in order to have the second day wavy hair...

...this one was a lot of fun, and all I had to do was take the braids out and put in a cute flower. So pretty.
