The morning started with the kids getting heart "attacked". They each made hearts that told why they love each other. I put a couple on myself. We also made some for Chris that we put on the bathroom mirror.
Breakfast consisted of pink pancakes, a couple of heart pancakes, heart eggs, and a fruit/berry smoothie.
Lunch was heart and "I love you" bologna sandwiches and cucumbers.
Hannah made her own.
For dinner we were going to have a mystery dinner but I just handed them the Valentine names of the food and let them "decode" the names. We had tomato soup (bleeding hearts), broccoli (green with envy), beans (pillow talk), heart shaped cheesy garlic bread (melt my heart), heart shaped potatoes with roasted carrots (Cupid's arrows), water (drowning in your love), and ice (cold shoulder). The spoon was time to cuddle and I couldn't come up with anything creative for the crackers so I put lovesick since these are the crackers I eat when I get sick.
Finally, I made some chocolate popcorn.
And this is my attempt at heart hair. It's not bad, but I know what I can do better next time.
It has been a day full of surprises and love. I very much enjoy Valentine's Day but more importantly I love my Valentine's...Chris, Richard, Hannah, and Ella.
So clever Jaime! I loved hearing about your Valentines day, you are the best!
