A day at the mall...

The kids have been getting cabin fever and there is still a TON of snow outside so I took them to the playground at the mall. I didn't get any pictures because there were SO MANY kids. Richard found a friend that was probably five and they were playing Star Wars. Richard was Darth Vader and the kid was Luke Skywalker. At one point I heard Richard call the kid "son". I thought that was so funny.

Then I took them to ride a couple rides. I had some change so we had a little fun. My favorite is the Kiddie Coaster.

The giant drink...

It has been a very long time since Chris and I have filled our mugs at the gas station. Well, we did last night. Hannah really hasn't seen Chris's ginormous mug so she was fascinated with it. I guess once I headed to work last night she was running around the house with this huge mug.

Well, this morning she found it on the kitchen table and tried to get it down for a drink, although it was empty. I looked at her and asked, "Are you stuck?" She answered ,"Yeah". So I snapped a couple of pics quick before I helped her. She is so funny!

Fun with boxes

I was pushing the kids around like bumper cars and they laughed so hard when they bumped into each other. They could have done this all day. It was fun to hear them laugh so hard!

Valentine's date night

Chris took me to dinner last night with our friends Rich and Karen. We ate at Kobe in South Ogden. It was really good! It's kind of like Benihana where they cook your food right in front of you. I had Tepan-yaki chicken that was awesome. Chris had steak and scallops that he really liked. They served a wonderful broth and mixed salad (the dressing was awful) as starters, then steamed or fried rice and shrimp for appetizers, and finally your entree. It was a lot of fun. Richard would have loved the "fire shows" and fun stuff the chefs do.

Then we went to see "Taken" and I have to be honest, I hadn't heard of this show and had no idea what is was about. It was really good. Liam Neeson did a great job in it. Once the show got started I basically knew how it would end, but watching things progress was interesting. You get caught up in the action and tension of it. Great movie, but VERY LOUD so don't take your kids!

Mom, thank you for driving so far to watch the kids for us!

Chris thank you so much for the date night. I had a lot of fun! I love you so much!!!

Happy Birthday Eliza

This is my younger brother, Brandon's, little angel. Eliza is 1 today. I hope she has a wonderful day. We love you!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I just wanted to tell everyone to have a nice day. This is a day of love, how you can you not be happy? We all have someone in our lives that we can love, whether it be family, a friend, or the Savior. Let us shower our loved ones with this love and kindness today, and every day!

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband that adores me and our darling kids. He is kind, honest, loving, a terrific provider, funny, and so many other wonderful things. He has given me the cutest, funniest, awesome kids I could ever ask for. I love these 3 people so passionately. Chris, Richard, and Hannah are my entire world. We love to spend time together. it doesn't really if we are hiking, bowling, watching movies, or just being silly we have fun being together.

Chris and I also have great families that taught us this love for each other. I thank them all for the love and kindness we have been shown in our lives. As well as great friends that we love and care for so much.

And I'm most grateful for a loving Savior who sacrificed for me. He is the ultimate example of love, kindness, unselfishness, etc. I thank Him for the fantastic life I have. I love Him so.

So to everyone...HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! You are all loved!

Haircut at Snip-its

It was beyond time for Richard to get a haircut. I just found out that this cute little place opened in Layton and we passed by it last night. Richard was so excited to get his hair cut at this fun place. He even made a friend, Lily. Hannah was having so much fun, she just didn't know where to go next.

Hannah with Snip-it

Richard got to play fun computer games while he got his hair cut. He was so good and sat really still.

He liked the games so much he couldn't take his eyes off the screen when his hair was finished. Funny boy! I think it looks great!!! He and Hannah even got prizes when Richard was ready to go home.

If anyone wants to go, let me know. I have a $5 off coupon. It is really fun for the kids and the ladies there are super nice and really good with the kids! And I think they do a great job!

Just for fun...

My beautiful Hannah. What an angel. She got this new TinkerBell jacket last night and refused to take it off. My sweet and silly Richard. I love this boy!
Richard has always been great at making silly faces. Sometimes we can't get him to smile normal for us so we use reverse phycology, "Don't you dare smile nice for Richard. You'll be in so much trouble." That usually works.

Daddy joined in the fun with the swimming goggles. He is so silly!

Giggling goggle girl...

She looks hilarious! I love this little girl! Hannah is fun and funny. She loves to have a good time and try new things. Richard found my swimming goggles and they have been taking turns wearing them, mostly Hannah has had them, though. She ate her lunch with them on. So funny!

Add a little color...

So, for those of you that have been in my home, we have a LOT of white. While Chris likes it, I don't. I hate having every wall, the carpets, and my couches WHITE. Well, I finally broke down and got some paint to liven it up a bit. I'm still in the process, but I think it looks so much better to have a focal point. I want to do the fireplace and front of the bookshelf a beige or something, other than white. Yes, I'll get my books put back in there, too. But I love the pictures and figurines in the shelves. We still have a lot of work to do, touch-ups, and such. But I think it is so much better than ALL WHITE!

A day at the park...

Today was pretty nice so the kids and I walked to the park. Here is some of the fun we had.

I don't know why, but Richard loves the baby swing. He was in it for a while until he decided he wanted the big boy swing.

Ooh! Scary dinosaur!
What a handsome princess. Nice face, bud!

This is classic "Richard hair". He has so many cowlicks it's ridiculous. But everyone seems to love it!
Richard was a really good brother and pushed Hannah on her swing.

These two are little monkeys. They climb anything and everything, even at home.

Hannah is growing up...

Hannah has always loved shoes but lately she has been putting them on all by herself. She has a darling pair of Sunday shoes, thanks to Marki, that she dances around in all day. And this has left my heels in the closet, so thank you! Ha, ha.

Hannah is also talking a lot more. She knows some sign language to get by, but now she is saying mine, come on, yeah, ball, please, cheese, bologna (dee dee), I do (when she wants a turn), and a few others. She is so funny and really understands what we tell her. I love this little angel girl!

Hannah also LOVES to play with her brother, Richard. They have a lot of fun riding bikes, marching around the house singing, reading books, and making a mess of the house. I love that they love each other and get along. She is Daddy's girl, and has some fun with Mom, too. She has brought so much fun into our lives. We love our little Hannah girl!

Happy Birthday Zachary!

I just wanted to wish Zac a great birthday! I believe he is 9 today. It's amazing how fast time goes by! I'm sad, but I haven't seen Zac for almost 3 years, as we live so far apart. But I hope things are going well and that he has a fanstastic day!
Here he is with his sisters Maddie and Halley getting ready for school and below at one of our family's favorite entertainment spots, Medieval Times!
We love you, Zac!
