Lehi Cheer...

My darling niece, Brittany, is a JV cheerleader and she was able to cheer with the varsity last night. A bunch of us went to support her. I got Chris to go because it was a football game. :) She is every bit as good as the varsity! Love, ya, Brit. Thank you for the invite last night. We all had a lot of fun watching you, and the game.

So flexible! So cute!!!

Richard played with his cousin Bo, (arm in the shot), and Bo's cousin Max (red shirt). They all had a lot of fun together.

Hannah climbed up and down the bleacher steps. She made a friend, too.
Brittany is to the right of center. I would have posted, and taken, a lot more photos, but my batteries started to die as soon as we got to the game. Total bummer!

A dream come true...

I have loved these Xterra's since they came out on the market 9 years ago. Last night we just went looking for cars and stumbled across a great sale. We got this 2008 Nissan Xterra for a great deal and they took my over-heating mess of a Maxima on a decent trade. Thank you, Chris, for letting me get my favorite car. You are next...in about 5 years. Ha, ha! :) I love you, sweetie!

Typical Boy...

This little stinker pulled the head off my Barbie! I pulled them out of storage for Hannah and Richard had the clothes scattered all over the floor, her top down, and her head on the ground. And look at that evil little smile. What a tiger! I love this kid!

Silly times...

We walked into the room and found the kids doing head stands. There were there for a long time, a few minutes or so. They have so much fun together. Chris was showing Richard how to be a rooster, we laughed so hard!

Ward Luau...

The kids and I spent a few hours with Chris while he was preparing for the party. Richard played peek-a-boo from behind the tree... ...and he towed his car with his scooter.
Hannah ate some treats and played on the camp chairs.
The ward had a luau last night. It was a lot of fun, but Chris, being on the activities committee, was cooking this pork from 11am-6pm. What a day. He had 4 of these huge pieces on his spit and cinderblock grill. It was quite the hit!
The giant water slide! I didn't think Richard would go on it, but he did and he loved it! His cotton shorts wouldn't let him slide too well so he would walk until he fell on his bummer. He had so much fun and it was fun to watch them. My little hula girl.
Richard played catch with Grandma Taggart.

Hannah thought she was a big girl and attempted to climb the 12-15 steps to the top, but this first step was a far as she got. Silly girl!
Richard doing flips down the hill.
My darling babies on the slide ladder.

Photos of kids...

We got these pictures taken a few weeks ago and I finally received them tonight. I am so excited how well they turned out! My kids were so good for the shoot. Most of these photos only took 1-2 shots to get a good one. And the photographer at Kiddie Kandids was great with them!

To those of you who didn't get copies, I'm sorry, I had some stollen.

New bed...

This is Richard's bed. He got these sheets a few months back when he started going in the potty.
Hannah got this bed today. My Mom found one her neighbor was just going to throw away. She asked him if she could have it, sanded it down, and painted it this darling pink. Mom, thank you for the hours and sweat you put into Hannah's bed. It turned out great!
She was so excited about her new bed and walked all over it.

Then Richard hopped in and pretended to sleep.
A darling gal my Mom works with thought this lamp would go well with the bed, so she gave it to us. Thank you, Amy, that was very thoughtful! This is adorable! In short, Hannah loves her new pink Pooh and Tigger bed!

Whistles and jumping...

Our friend Robin brought the kids their party favors from the birthday party we missed while Chris and I were out of town. Richard and Hannah opened them this morning and went crazy with their whistles. I loved watching Hannah bop her head to blow the whistle.

Also, Hannah has recently discovered jumping. I had to get video of it, I've been laughing for days! (Please pardon the incorrectly buttoned pjs, Daddy put her to bed last night while I played Bunco. I didn't notice her jams until I looked at this video. It's all good!)

Wow! This was an incredible book! I have enjoyed this series, but this final book was by far the best! Breaking Dawn has so many twists and turns, so much adventure. My emotions were as into the story as my mind was. Such a great finale! Well done Stephenie Meyer. I am so looking forward to the Twilight movie coming out in December.

For any of you who think you won't be able to "get into" a story about vampires, or falling in love with a vampire, put aside everything you have ever heard about the bloodsucking night dwellers. Open your mind to a new interpretation and you may be surprised at this wonderfully written story, but you must start at the beginning, Twilight. :)

My little wanderer...

We were outside playing last night, Chris had run an errand, and I ran inside to change some laundry. I went out and heard, "Jaime, Richard's over here!" I turned to our neighbor and walked over there. Apparently, Richard had lost a part of a toy that launches, he walked over to the neighbor's home and knocked on her door and told her he had lost his "helicopter". They proceeded to the backyard but couldn't find it.

Turns out, it went to the east neighbor's yard, not the south. Well, I wrangled him back home and apologized to Sister Snow. Then I began mowing the lawns. I saw Richard trying to ask me something so I turned the mower off. He asked, "Mom, can I go play basketball with Brady?" (The neighbor he was gardening with, Sister Snow's son.) I told him he had to ask Brady. Well, while I mowed the front lawn Richard played b-ball with a 30+ year old. Brady even pumped Richard's b-ball up for him. So nice. Richard has a new friend.

My sleepy boys...

I had an appointment to go to yesterday afternoon. I came home and the house was so quiet. I knew Hannah was sleeping and figured Chris was taking an after work rest and that maybe Richard had gotten in trouble and was in time-out.
Well, as I walked through the home, Hannah woke up and I realized Richard wasn't in his bed. So, I peeked into my room and this is what I saw. Aren't they adorable! :) I love Richard's arms behind his head. I think they fell asleep watching a show. I couldn't resist taking a shot of them.

Gardening with Brady...

Richard was playing out back last night and then I realized I couldn't hear him. I went looking and found him next door. He was talking our neighbor's ear off and helping him garden. Brady takes care of many of the yards on the street and does a great job. Richard had so much fun with him and Brady was really nice.
I think Richard was out there for an hour. When I told him it was time to come in for bed he stood at the front door and said, "Bye neighbor, see you later. Thanks for letting me help you...I'll see you." It was so cute. This morning, Brady went past our home to mow a neighbor's lawn. Richard ran to the door and opened it up to say, "Hi, neighbor. Mom, he didn't hear me." He is so funny. I love watching him with other people. He is such a social kid.

Five Guys Burgers

We went to lunch with my Mom today. I wanted to go somewhere we have never been. So we headed to Five Guys. Turns out, I have been there. When Chris's parents lived in Virginia they took us to Five Guys. The kids really like it and Mom muchly enjoyed her burger. I'm watching my calories so I had a grilled veggie sandwich. It was yummy and that left me a few calories for some of their fantastic fries. All four of shared one order and it was just right, just enough for each but not too much.

The kids had a lot of fun with Grandma Kia. She always has powdered sugar donuts for Richard since he loves them so much. So Mom asked Richard, "Will your Mom be ok it I buy you donuts?" Richard replied, "You have to go buy them right now!" We both laughed so hard. Richard loves donuts and they will always remind him of his Grandma Kia. Thanks, Mom, for a great afternoon. The kids had a lot of fun!

Movie Review...Drillbit Taylor

Chris rented this movie last night. I couldn't remember the previews very well, but I like Owen Wilson so I hoped I would like this. We don't watch a lot of commercials with our DVR so we just rent anything that sounds good that isn't R.
Anyway, we laughed so hard at this movie. It's a bit violent and rude with exaggerated high school bullying, and there were some raunchy parts they could have done away with, but overall, it was hilarious. I know there are parts that Chris is going to start using as quotes.
I just thing Owen Wilson has a great sense of humor in his movies and he is so subtle about the humor which makes it even funnier. But one of the kids was the funniest- the chubby, curly haired boy had some great lines! Great movie if you are looking for a good laugh!
