A much needed break...

The other day we decided we needed a break from the stress of moving and looking for employment so we headed to Bear Lake with the kids. They have had a hard time adjusting to things so we wanted to reward them with a fun day.

We packed a yummy lunch that really hit the spot. The kids ate like crazy!! Then we were ready for more fun.

We drove through the mountains on the way home and did some hiking. It was a lot of fun. Richard's favorite thing to learn about was elk poop. That's my little boy!

It was a nice relaxing family day. I'm really glad we went. This was a day I will always remember amoung this crazy, stressful time we are experiencing.

Natural History Museum

Chris has been wanting to take the kids here for a while, so today was the day. (Please pardon many of the photos...I forgot to change my batteries.)

The kids were so scared of this dinosaur. This is about as close as Richard would go, but Hannah wouldn't come 5 feet within it.

Teepee time. Richard got in and said, "I'm gonna be Chinese." We had to explain the different. What a funny kid!

Instead of saying, "Cheese" the kids were saying, "Chinese food." I guess it was a Chinese themed day. Maybe we should have had Chinese food for dinner.

Hannah would NOT leave this book. She kept saying, "I readin'. I readin'." It took forever to get her to go to the next display. Silly girl!

Weekend break from the stress

I am so proud of Richard for taking this great photo of Chris and I. I love it because it is one of the first pics of just the two of us since we got married. My honey is so handsome!

We took the kids mini golfing for the first time. They had so much fun.

Driving around Curtis Creek the other night we saw tons of animals: a moose, a fox, a cyote, tons of deer, and even two large herds of elk. It was an incredible drive. And on one of our walks Richard saw a snake. He freaked out, but it was funny.

Right off the side of the road I found this beautiful buck. He was a 6x5 point. His face was perfect and he was so tall. What a gorgeous animal!
