Family Day: Family Fun

Saturday we journeyed to a new trail. This was at the Visitors Center at Pinnacle Mountain. I love the silly pictures I get of my kids but I am having difficulty getting a cute smile anymore. I finally told them to act like they had a booger wiped on them, thinking they would laugh, but the results were the top left and middle pictures. Oh how they make me laugh!

Then we headed to the Big Dam Bridge for some fishing. The kids and I played at this beach. It was really fun and a perfect day for it!

It was such a fun day. We also had friends over for dinner and we made pizza. I will post those pictures later in the week.

Target Practice

Last weekend we went shooting in the woods. All of the shooting ranges are so far from us but had a lovely and long drive out there. And look how darn cute my kids are!

On the way out there we stopped at our church to help clean up from an activity and the kids found these cute bears (middle) that someone was giving away. You would have thought they found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

These are some of the pictures I took of a recent downpour. We get a lot of rain in the spring and I could not get over the amount of water running down my building. And there was a river in the woods behind us. It was really neat to watch from the balcony.

Branson, MO

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids to Branson, MO. It is close and we wanted a little get-away. We heard there were a lot of fun things to do and we were looking to do a little shopping.

This is our hotel. We splurged (actually I got a pretty good deal on it) on a suite with a king size bed, sofa bed for the kids, and a HUGE jacuzzi tub. They had a nice indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna and a nice fitness center. The breakfast had excellent selections, especially since we are eating more healthily these days.

We were so excited to surprise the kids with a dinosaur museum. By the time we got there they were not very impressed. Then Richard was terrified of the "life-like" statues. He would not got near them. Chris and I were completely boggled since Richard wants to be a Paleontologist. At least Hannah liked them and wanted her pictures taken. And Richard liked the activities at the end of the displays.

While I was trying on some shoes Chris took the kids for a walk. They took this adorable picture at the fountain and texted it to me. So cute! Then this "piggie nose" picture was at Walmart on the way home. They are so funny and Richard is totally into the Razorbacks.

Pinnacle Mtn. Photos

We had a nice hike at Pinnacle Mtn. State Park. The kids had a blast getting their pictures taken. Hannah had remnants of cat wiskers from story time celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday.
