Handy Richard

This towel rack broke off one day because Richard decided he wanted to do pull-ups on it. Well, I heard him pounding on something with his hammer and found him trying to fix the towel rack. So funny!

Potty humor

I noticed a few moments ago that Richard was being very quiet. I went looking for him and found that he was doing his business in the potty. He told me to come in to help him get cleaned up and informed me that his b.m. looked like a "little baby dolphin traped in the toilet by an evil scientist dolphin, away from his mom" and that he was going to "set him free". Then he flushed the toilet, opened the lid and said, "He's free!"

Last week we stayed at my Mom's house for a night and she told Richard how much he looks like his dad. Then Richard replied, "And when I grow up I will have a big weiner." We all laughed so hard, I think Chris laughed the most. That's my little boy!

Richard's art

Richard is getting so good at drawing people that I just had to share. It's fun to have on our fridge, but I wanted to share these cute people.

This is Dad
This is Richard
And this is Hannah and Mom

I wish these showed up better, but I love em!

Richard's annual exam

I am so proud of Richard. Today he had his annual check-up with Dr. Allred. He is growing and developing perfectly! For those of you that don't know, Richard was 1 lb 4 oz and 12 inches long when he was born. Now he is 34 lbs, (25th percentile, up from 3rd last year) and 40.5 inches (50th percentile and average, up from 20th last year.) So he is doing really well. Dr. Allred even "showed him off" to the newer nurses. They were shocked!

Richard has such a great personality and awesome sense of humor. He is smart, funny, a great helper, and my best little bud! I'm so proud to be his mommy!

Baby shower for Lindsay Lou

My cousin Lindsay is having a baby boy, Aiden James, in a couple of weeks. Today we had her baby shower. Hannah made friends with all the other little girls and had a fun time.

Melissa and Lindsay, beautiful ladies!

Hannah couldn't get enough of the pasta salad with cheese and olives. She also loved the grapes and ice-cream!
It was a nice celebration. Thank you Aunt Shauna and Melissa for a wonderful party. And to Robin and Amber for helping out with the excellent food! You all did a wonderful job!!! And it was tons of fun to see everyone!

Dinner with Bettridges

Lettuce hats

I was making a salad today and pulled off an outer piece of lettuce. Before throwing it away, I popped it on my head. The kids thought it was so funny and they wanted to try it out. I think I got some great candid shots.

I just missed Richard trying to take a bite out of Hannah's hat, but you can see a tiny bit of his face. So funny!

Our first plants of the season

We have tulips that come up every spring. Each year we have more and more flowers. The kids have loved checking on them the last month to see how tall they are getting. And they helped me plant pansies over the weekend.

I was so anxious to plant a garden, and so was Richard. So we bought these little garden starters and seeds and planted away. About 3 weeks ago our first plant came up. Now we have almost 2 dozen plants growing strong. Hannah and Richard love to see them each morning to find out how much they have grown the night before. It's been so much fun. Now I need to get my garden ready to transplant them and plant more seeds in the next few weeks. I LOVE SPRING!!!

Another visit to Snip-its

The kids really needed haircuts so I took them to their favorite place, Snip-its. They had a lot of fun and got to play video games and watch a movie while getting their hair done. Hannah was really good for her first haircut and we got to keep a lock of her cut hair.

Quick stop by Cabelas

I had an appointment in Lehi the other night so Chris and the kids came with me. Following the appt. we headed to Cabela's. It's been a long time since we have been there and we figured the kids would like to see all the fish and the animal displays. It was fun. Richard found these silly hats in a bargain bin. Hannah was tired and hungry, but I love Richard's poses and how cute they are in these silly hats.

Thanks

I just want to thank all that voted for Richard. We should find out in the next week who the winner of the competition is, but I just wanted to thank you for your support!
