Fishing Pinnacle

The weather has been so nice and the fishing has been good so we have gone out two or three times a week. These are some of the cute pictures I got a couple of weeks ago. Hannah was so focuse on fishing she was not interested in her usual photo shoot.

Richard, on the other hand, was ready for a few funny shots...

Chris caught a couple of good catfish. This was the big one of the day.

Utah!!!

Toward the end of April I was blessed to fly to Utah to visit family and attend my dearest friend's wedding. We had party after party with a little prom shopping in the mix. I totally over did things one week after surgery, but the exhaustion was totally worth the hugs, crafts, food, laughing, tears, and visits. (Holy moley! Please forgive my hair!)

Below are my mom, myself, Marki, Grandma T., and Brittany.

Mom, Brittany, and I put together a little surprise birthday party for Chloe. She was really surprised and we had a fun time making hair accessories. (Bo doesn't look too impressed in the background.) The girls and I made hair accessories and it was really fun.

From this point on, I would not have had any other pictures if it were not for Chloe. I was so busy chatting and having fun that I kept forgetting to take pictures. It was Easter after all, so I'm glad Chloe was on top of things.

This is my Aunt Jennifer.

And Marki

I had a terrific time. Thank you to my family that I was blessed to visit with. Thank you to Chris for letting me go solo on this trip (my first in 7 years), and thank you to Chris's mom, Donnell, for flying to LR to stay with the kids.

The wedding was wonderful and I was able to rejuvenate my mind, emotions, and spirit. Attending the temple is always a wonderful experience. This is a trip that I will never forget.

Celebrating With Chuck E

We let the kids choose where to go out to eat for their birthdays. Hannah wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese's so that is where the celebration was. Going out to eat has become a big deal around our house this year since we have been cutting back on it. So going to Chuck E Cheese's was an important thing for Hannah. We had a lot of fun and are so grateful for our little angel girl.

Happy Birthday!!!

Today was Hannah's 4th birthday. Luckily for her, Richard's class went on a field trip to the zoo and Hannah and I got to tag along.

Hannah and Ave were little buddies.

Getting ready for the fun.

This was my little group. Owen, Ava, and Richard. We had to figure out clues on a large map, find the animal from the solution, and draw them on the map. It was a lot of fun.

We had a lot of fun. Friday we are going to dinner to continue the celebration of my beautiful, funny, smart, sweet, angel girl. We love you, hannah! Happy Birthday!

Wii Library

Our library has some incredible kids and teen programs going on, especially for the summer. To launch the summer programs there was an open house on Saturday so I took the kids to play a little Wii. We were the only ones there and could have played for hours, but we only stayed for one.

This was part of a scavenger hunt the library is having. The kids got to check of one of their tasks and had a lot of fun earning that.

Fishing BBQ

We have been spending a lot of time at Pinnacle Mt. State Park. Last weekend we invited Chris's good friends Charles (Charlie) to have a BBQ with us. Our picnic table was right on the river so Chris, Richard, and Hannah did a little fishing, too.

This is the first fish Richard has caught all by himself. He cast the line and reeled in a fish with no help. He just started yelling to us "I got a fish! I got a fish!" By the time we got over to him he had reeled this little puppy in. Chris threw it on the grill and Richard thought it was the best fish ever! :)

And then, of course, we had to do a fashion shoot...

Atlanta Trip II

Here is my post-surgery self-portrait. Those incredibly sexy socks were my companions for three days and the largely swollen belly lasted about a week. I am pretty well healed and doing very well.

On the drive home the kids were getting a little restless. Chris had them get out at a gas station just outside Memphis and have running races. This really helped because they both fell into a deep sleep shortly afterward.

Waterfalls

I have so much to blog about, but there have been so many distractions lately. I did want to post this picture of the waterfalls and the Arkansas River. We have had so many intense rain storms that waters is pouring from all over the city into the overflowing and ever growing river.
